See this machineOur two licence-free models are the easiest to get to grips with, even with no experience at all, and the cheapest in the fleet from €20 a day: three SYM Symphony 50s and two electric Cooper Tourings. They are plenty for the medina, Guéliz and Hivernage. The Cooper, fully electric, uses nothing and makes no noise.
The Honda SH 125 is the sensible default, from €30 a day: big wheels that swallow speed bumps, a top box and windscreen as standard, and enough acceleration for the Palmeraie road. It needs an A1 licence.
Above that, the T-MAX Techmax and the three Honda X-ADV are maxi-scooters, from €100 a day. They need a motorbike licence, but they hold the open road and carry two people all day without fatigue. That is the right tool if you plan to leave Marrakech.
Not for our two licence-free models: the SYM Symphony 50 and the electric Cooper Touring can be rented from age 16, with parental consent for anyone under 18. That makes them the simplest option for a family on holiday.
For the Honda SH 125, you need an A1 licence. For the maxi-scooters, a motorbike licence. ID and the original licence are required at delivery, never a photocopy. If you are unsure where you stand, message us before booking.
Marrakech is easy on two wheels: a scooter is the default local transport and traffic is used to them. The main roads — Mohammed V, Mohammed VI, Avenue de la Ménara — are wide and quick. Inside the medina, though, several alleys are closed or impassable: park at the gates, Bab Doukkala and Bab Laksour in particular.
Parking is attended and paid almost everywhere, count a few dirhams. Helmets are compulsory and checked; one comes with every rental. Avoid the school run around Jemaa el-Fna, and ride in daylight the first time: some streets are poorly lit.
A licence-free scooter starts at €20 a day, the Honda SH 125 at €30, a maxi-scooter at €100. These are starting rates: the exact price depends on the season and the duration, and it comes down when you keep the machine for several days. The helmet is included, at no extra cost.
Delivery is free anywhere in Marrakech, medina riads included, at whatever time you choose. Elsewhere in Morocco it is possible on request: the cost depends on the distance. Self-guided rentals run from twenty-four hours upwards.
